I am a big fan of Ali Hazelwood and her stem-based books. However, this one (as she states in the author’s note is not her normal). All the stem-based content and the friend/found family were great. However, I wasn’t a huge fan of Rue and Eli’s relationship.

I really didn’t like how Eli liked to be in charge in the bedroom. I just don’t think that would’ve been the healthiest situation for Rue given her background (like her aggressive brother). The book ended up being fine but just not a win for me.
