The Unkindest Tide by Seanan McGuire

5.0

I won an ARC of this book through a give away on Goodreads.

I spent the past 6 weeks rereading the series so that I could have all the tangled threads in my mind when reading this book. Considering this book has plot threads coming home to roost from One Salt Sea, I felt it was personally necessary and if you're the kind of person who reads a lot and may not remember nuances and side remarks, I would recommend a series reread to you too. Seanan weaves a tapestry through each book, and it's incredibly rewarding to have some of those threads get tied off neatly.

Finally, finally, the Luidaeg is calling in Toby's debts and keeping her promise to the Selkies: it is time. It is time for all to pay their debts. Naturally, with Toby involved, some complications arise. As they do. Poor girl is a trouble magnet.

I don't want to spoil anything. So please. Read this book. Read this series. Seanan is an artist, and there's so many important nuggets of truth and life that are resonating through me in the aftermath.
