The Cider House Rules by John Irving
5.0
This may become my favorite Irving novel. It's odd that I hadn't read it sooner, considering how much I love his other books. In typical Irving style, this novel was heavy and slow going. I typically appreciate his novels more after I'm finished than while I'm reading and this was similar. However, Homer's story was compelling the entire time. Even when I didn't agree with the character's actions, I could understand why they were driven. It made for a very moving, epic story of love and relationships.
