honestly, this is a very unserious book. i don't even wanna go into the technicalities of their spending here because calla and jonah both need financial literacy training but surprisingly, they never ran out of money. maybe she was a whiner but i gotta give due credit to calla. their problems would have never been talked about if it weren't for her since jonah was too busy at work or being h word or he just didn't feel the need to bring up the topic/know how to broach it which is soooo frustrating. he could be on the right side of the argument but i'd still side with my girl calla out of spite.

the last thing i'll be talking about accounts for 2 out of the 3 stars i chose not to give: marie and jonah's dynamic had me STRESSING. what is so hard about setting boundaries with the girl your partner is jealous of? your history with her is irrelevant! just do it! it shouldn't be that hard!!!! at some point, i even thought toby came into the picture to give jonah a dose of his own medicine but alas, y'all hate to see women win.
