Together in a Broken World by Paul Michael Winters

adventurous challenging dark emotional funny hopeful lighthearted mysterious sad tense fast-paced

5.0

This book has my heart.

If you like All That's Left In The World duology by Erik J Brown or Wranglestone duology by Darren Charlton, you'll love this book!

This book features a boy called Zach, who is holed up for a year in a deserted city. He is a very knowledgeable tinkerer and has booby traps and his own vegetation patch on the go. When Aiden, who has been put on a mission to deliver some vials to seattle, comes to Zachs town, and they end up meeting, it's not long before they start forming a bond.

There's ups and downs throughout the whole story, a group out to get them and the apocalypse basically making their jour ey very hard going. But.. they do meet some amazing and nice people along the way who make up for some of the sad scenes that this book takes you through.

I honestly laughed, teared up, and kept cheering these 2 characters on so much whilst I read this book. It's definitely one to read if you liked the formentioned duologys above!
