I will always love Lord of the Rings.

This was technically a reread for me, since my mom read these all to me as a child. I remembered some of it (who could forget Tom Bombadill??) but a lot I didn't remember.

While I love this first book, I actually think I like the movie more. I remember as a child, watching the movie after my mom read the book to me and being disappointed with some of the things they took out/shortened, but as an adult, I think they made great calls with it.

I am really excited to reread the rest of the series!
