I need a good cry after this, because I was listening to it while on the Tube and didn’t really fancy having people stare at me sobbing while on public transport. This memoir has probably struck a chord with so many readers who come from a similar background - I think many of us share that sort of relationship Michelle and her mom had with our own mothers. It really made me want to give my mum a huge hug and tell her how much I love and appreciate her. I had to go and listen to Psychopomp again after finishing this memoir!
