The Good Neighbor by A.J. Banner

1.0

um. what.

there are so many things wrong with this. Which is almost a disappointment considering that I think this story COULD have been good. But there was really no clear direction or plot. The characters were all pretty flat and uninteresting. it was not thrilling at all, there were only high stakes during two scenes but even then you knew it wouldn't have negative consequences.

the fire at the beginning really served no purpose because it was only a catalyst for our protagonist to figure things out about her husband that really could have come up in any other way, by the time you find out who set it you really forget that was even something we were supposed to care about.

the large mystery at play here is the fidelity of our protagonists husband ((I've literally forgotten almost everyones names)) but none of its a mystery. No one is particularly likable and we are reliant on miscommunications to ensure the red herrings aren't resolved too soon.

its a quick/short read but honestly.... just stay away
