The Pentagon's Brain: An Uncensored History of DARPA, America's Top-Secret Military Research Agency by Annie Jacobsen

3.0

DARPA has had such a big impact that Jacobsen can’t possibly hope to cover it all—and frankly, much is still classified and unknown to us. So instead we get a book that covers some of the atomic age buildup, some of their efforts during Vietnam, and some of their modern work in the War on Terror and other speculation. It doesn’t hold together the best, but is at least breezy enough to make for a quick read.
