The Sacred Lies of Minnow Bly by Stephanie Oakes

4.0

I really enjoyed this story. It was more gruesome than expected but still something that was manageable fr me atleast. I felt the characters to be very vivid and jumping out of the page. I ( like many others) find cults and the processes behind faithful following of religion(s), so I was excited to read this and follow Minnow journey of fear, guilt, innocence and healing. I think this story and themed was done nicely and even the discussion of juvenile detention was interesting.
