The Walls of Westernfort by Jane Fletcher, Jane Fletcher

i think the writing quality was significantly better than the first one and there was a lot less uhhhhhh pages and pages of infodump. i still think she should have done more showing vs telling but not quite as bad as it was in the first book.

but uhhhhhhh the premise was a little uhhhHHHHHHHH UHMMMM i didn't like...... it....

Spoilerlike natasha is a decently well defined character so her actions make sense as things she'd do but y'know it honestly IS really nasty for her to sleep with a woman she knows will hate her because she's a religious cop and the religious cops murdered the family of her love interest so like uhhhhmmmmmmmmmmmm

i even believe dani would struggle with simultaneous feelings of love and hate and that's a realistic response!! but that it ends with them being in love still or whatever. tbh, gross

natasha should have gone to the other city and ended up with shelly tbh. shelly got such a bad deal :(

hot takes. anyway i liked lynn better in this book than the last one.

i have to do a new tag for my book club i guess. or my two book clubs. anyone want to start another book club i would love to have 15 going simultaneously
