Jingle Jangle: The Invention of Jeronicus Jangle (movie tie-in) written by David E Talbert, Lyn Sisson-Talbert, Narrated by Phylicia Rashad

This delightful & beautiful middle grade story is based on the Netflix movie Jingle Jangle: A Christmas Journey. My 3 daughters and I decided to listen to this audiobook before watching the movie last weekend. The book is truly a magical, wonderful adventure and our family absolutely LOVED it. Narrator Phylicia Rashad is a fantastic & talented narrator. She captivates her audience while bringing this magical story to life (she’s also the grandmother in the movie with a twist at the end!!). My 8-year-old said this is the best audiobook she’s ever heard and they were completely enchanted by the story. After the movie, one of my twins exclaimed “WOW THAT WAS REALLY GOOD! My favorite character is Journey, she’s so smart!” Isn’t it great to have strong BIPOC girl role models?

The eccentric toy inventor, Jeronicus loses everything including his imaginative toy shop when his apprentice steals his ideas and inventions. Over 30 years pass before his granddaughter who possesses his magical genes forces her way into his life.
A world of wishes & wonder…. And all you have to do is BELIEVE!

Thank you Librofm, Penguin Random Audio, Penguin Kidsfor this gifted ALC. My family was absorbed in this book every night for 4 nights before bedtime. They even cried one night because we had to stop!
