A delightful collection of five short stories that bring to life relatable characters at different stages of life. Humour, kindness and affection revolving around the magic of love are beautifully presented against the backdrop of the Sicilian landscape. Tanino and Melina, who dominate most of the prose, are two characters that grew on me. Stefania presents a realistic view on the union between mundaneness and love with cheeky lines, honest conversations and thoughtful reconciliations. A great read that would complement your preferred beverage!
