All the Living and the Dead by Hayley Campbell

“Death shows us what is buried in the living. By shielding ourselves from what happens past the moment of death we deny ourselves a deeper understanding of who we truly are.”

At this point I’ve read several books about death, ever curious about how other cultures practice death rites and what happens to our bodies and “spirits” once we leave the land of the living. This book was recommended to me by a friend and I thought it was truly such an interesting glimpse into so many professions that are at least adjacently connected to the “death industry”.  I thought the authors accounts of her practical research were thought provoking and insightful. Would highly recommended for inquisitive readers
