one hundred motorcycles, driving down an endless freeway...
compelling story. did like the use of the fictional TV show as a framing device for the entire story.
did wonder whether we needed that final "chapter" i guess (in quotes because it was so short) confirming he didn't fade away and was just now in the new timeline he made but i'm not against it. but unlike my book club i don't mind an ambiguous ending ;)

did figure out the "gimmick" i guess really early on but i also don't think it was meant to be super subtle or anything and i also thought it worked. actually did not like the protagonist but also found him compelling at the same time. like... his daughter all "you say your life went wrong and you would give it all up.... you would give ME up...?" for the mother he barely remembers. but that choice makes sense for the character as he's written even if I think it's an asshole move to do it.did wonder whether we needed that final "chapter" i guess (in quotes because it was so short) confirming he didn't fade away and was just now in the new timeline he made but i'm not against it. but unlike my book club i don't mind an ambiguous ending ;)
