Ruso and the Disappearing Dancing Girls by Ruth Downie

4.0

An enjoyable meander through Roman Chester (Deva) with a grumpy Medicus and his rebellious slave girl. Deals with serious themes with a light touch and focusses more on the colourful world surrounding our heroes than the business of murder, which suits the reluctant investigator. I am completely invested in these characters and will be picking up the next.
