The Gentleman's Guide to Vice and Virtue by Mackenzi Lee

5.0

4.5/5☆~

When I have the ability, I will be writing a fuller review. Basically though:

This book was everything I was promised and more. A historical/ fiction with romance, adventure, and a tiny amount of alchemical "magic" thrown in.

Content warning, however, for at least a little bit of the following in this novel (some obviously due to the book being set way back when in England/Europe):
Sexism
Racism
Homophobia
Abusive Parent (father) with only one scene that I remember that goes into any sort of actual detail about a physical abuse episode, but plenty of moments where emotional abuse occurs (it is handled very well & is a part of a characters mental state/personality & such, it isn't just thrown in for drama, I promise)

Even tho I don't have it right now to go into detail about why I loved this book, I wanted y'all to know that it IS amazing & what may be hard to read for some individuals before you pick up this book. But you should TOTALLY pick up this book.

Do it.
