Neanderthal Marries Human by Penny Reid
4.0
This delicious sequel to Neanderthal Meets Human takes us from the proposal to the wedding and all of the stress and obstacles--both real and fabricated--in between.
And, oh what a perfect Quinn and Janie proposal it is--funny and tender and steamy. Honestly, I was thinking, "How can it get better than this?" And that was just the beginning.
The planning. The detour in the planning. The bachelorette weekend. (Seriously, that part had me actually hooting and cackling.) The wedding. The wow moment. I thoroughly enjoyed it.
As per usual, Penny Reid manages to create a funny, heartfelt, emotional, intelligent journey for her characters. If you have read Neanderthal Meets Human and have fallen in love with Quinn, Janie, and the rest of the Knitting in the City crew, make sure to pick this one up.
I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed how Jennifer Grace captures Janie's quirkiness and cadencing. I enjoyed Sebastian York as Quinn but didn't always love his voices for the female characters. It's definitely a fun escape on audio. Just make sure you don't mind laughing out loud around others when you pop those earbuds in.
