An Echo in the Bone by Diana Gabaldon
4.0
I read this concurrently with "The Scottish Prisoner" and the beginning of the Lord John series. Had I just read the Outlander series, I wouldn't be as invested in some of the secondary characters. Reading the other novels fleshed them out and I actually like Lord John and William.
I also read "Virgins" halfway through "An Echo in the Bone" so Jamie and Ian's friendship was fresh in my mind.
I don't have a problem with Jenny. I like her and am interested to see what happens to her in MOBY.
Also, have to add that I had a feeling since "Dragonfly in Amber" that Fergus was from nobility.
