As a person who was too young and too sheltered to know about Camgirls until after they had morphed into something else entirely, I thought this was an interesting little history. A lot of what was talked about here has only been further amplified since the advent of Instagram and to “social media influencer”. I found this on the free cart at my library and it’s probably the best thing I’ve ever found on one of those. I should look and see if the author has written anything recent. Would love to see their thoughts.
