It seems I’m full of unpopular opinions today.
I really enjoyed the characters in this. Gideon was so snarky but focused and caring. Harrow was dark and mysterious but driven.
But I couldn’t follow the plot at all. I have no idea what actually happened in this story. And I think that’s because I wasn’t invested in the world building and so my mind kept wandering. As a result, I couldn’t get any feel for the place or the setting.
Moira Quirk did an outstanding job with the narration. I’ll definitely look out for more books read by her.
Overall, this one has some high points, but it’s not for me.
