I wasn't sure about the main character in Make You Mine This Christmas by Lizzie Huxley-Jones at first, as she's quite quirky and I thought she might be a bit too unreliable for me to enjoy.
But I soon fell in love with her tone and voice, and the more I git to know her, the more I understood her sometimes really unwise decisions. She's definitely neurodivers, and once I managed to get a good connection with her, it resonated really deeply with me.
The story itself is cute and feels as comforting as a great cup of hot chocolate. Loveable characters, funny and chaotic plot, many Christmas delights and a slightly awkward romance made this a real joy to read!
