It Ends with Us by Colleen Hoover

4.0

“There is no such thing as bad people. We’re all just people who sometimes do bad things.”― Colleen Hoover, It Ends with Us

After reading Verity, I knew I had to read more of Colleen Hoover because everyone raves about her work. Verity is apparently very different to what she normally writes. It was dark and twisted, which is just how I like my books.

I was ready for fluffy romance with It Ends With Us and I tend not to read reviews so the story is a surprise. It turns out that yes, there is romance in this book, but the subject for this book is deep and emotional. It's about domestic violence. There are plenty of reviews that can give you the basics of this story, so I'll skip that and leave you with this - make sure you read the afterword!

There were some aspects of this story that were a little too silly for me, but overall, I really enjoyed this book and I'll be plowing my way through more CoHo books in 2022.

If you're a fan, what do you recommend I read next?

“Life is a funny thing. We only get so many years to live it, so we have to do everything we can to make sure those years are as full as they can be. We shouldn't waste time on things that might happen someday, or maybe even never.”― Colleen Hoover, It Ends with Us
