Having read and adored this novel a few years ago, I felt compelled to revisit it before reading the newly released sequel and chose to take an audiobook adventure with Otto Ringling and Volya Rinpoche. I am ever so glad I did! It's a magnificently concise road-trip story with spiritual underpinnings and humor in large doses, and for anyone who enjoys stories full of heart, this is not to be missed.

The audio version is masterful and the fact that you hear Rinpoche's unique accent really enhances the experience of this journey and gives a deeper understanding of the misgivings Otto was dealing with in the beginning.
