Challenge Prompt: CFG’s “With a hero/heroine in education”

Book #43 of 2024: I listened the first book of this series a few years ago via Audible. I enjoyed it. Therefore when I came across this story fitting a reading challenge prompt, it was a good time to continue the series.

The premise of possibly being switched at birth is both terrifying and fascinating. The ending was perhaps unexpected yet fitting.

I enjoyed the male main character of Sebastian. His fears and quirks made sense to me. I struggled with Leah though. It felt as though she had two personalities. One was charming and effervescent. Her mathematical brilliance was only overshadowed by her loyalty and love for her brother and her students. Then there was this cold and overly analytical cold side that was rude and ungrateful. I found it difficult to reconcile the two. I felt the latter was overdone and not really believable.

The secondary characters were likeable excepting Leah’s Mom. I thought her knowing the results of Leah’s search being left out of the novel to be a little odd.

I look forward to learning about the rest of the miracle friends in the subsequent books.
