This book hooked me and absolutely intrigued me with its heartbreaking story. 

Maggie’s story is absolutely tragic. She witnessed her father murder her mom after watching there abusive relationship for years and retreats into a shell becoming selective mute. She’s sent to live with her aunt a cousin when she still will not speak where she meets the angry play boy jock West that’s dealing with his own struggles he wants kept secret. There road is rocky and paved with lost of missteps but it’s a beautiful story.
