Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
4.0
As I've said before, Pride and Prejudice is a very delightful piece of writing! I shall have to read it once more in earnest to grasp all the peculiar details my mind had missed.
The character of Elizabeth Bennet is of course the most engaging of any. She had an amiable wit and understanding of any person in her view.
Mr Darcy had quite the largest of character arcs I felt, and even his presence on the page brought a great weight. His sobriety was perfectly balanced by the occasional outburst of his temper, or the wonderful image of his joyful smile when his wish of matrimony came true.
I felt that Mr. Wickham could have made more impressions of his character through more frequent meetings with Elizabeth. An interesting character who couldn't keep the interest of the spotlight long enough to be discovered.
With all information considered, I would rate this book 4.5 stars out of 5, or 4.49 for the purposes of rounding to 4!
My intention of repeating my venture with this book tells all you need to know of whether it's worthy for your reading horizon.
