Purity by Jonathan Franzen

3.0

This book is too long. Some of the misogyny confuses me: is Franzen being ironic? I assume so as he's clearly very adept at irony. The female characters are way more interesting than the men and I really enjoyed Pip and Leila's storylines. Everything always revolves around the men, and their mother issues. Peaks and troughs.
