Zora Neale Hurston is one of my favorite authors and I was so pleased to discover a new-to-me work of hers! 

This is the story of Cudjo. He was born in Africa but he was captured and stolen as a youth. He was forced into slavery in the good old US of A.  Ms. Hurston interviewed him several times and wrote his life story.  This book was fascinating!
