So informative and really made me want to learn a BASL/ASL.
The stories are what pulled me in, though. Learning about the deaf communities in this country was upsetting and enlightening and exciting and informative, but learning about these communities as a backdrop to our main characters stories really made this book enjoyable. Because this book takes place in a school for the deaf, it sometimes had a YA feel to it without feeling overly immature, which I sometimes struggle with in YA.
I just really enjoyed it. Will be definitely recommending this one.
