This has to be one of my favorite books of all time. I love the documentary style writing and the audiobook is incredible. All of the characters are so nuanced and real. I love that we get slightly different perspectives from all of the characters because everyone's personal truth is different.
The relationship between Billy, Camilla, and Daisy is not a stereotypical love triangle. It's much more subtle and mature and realistic. However, my favorite relationship is between Karen and Graham. I think that subplot sometimes gets forgotten but I love both of their characters and the story they went through.
I re-read this (for the third time) because Amazon Prime is releasing the limited series adaptation this Friday. I have really high expectations but I also understand that the creators are going at this from the angle of "what really happened" vs. everyone's different memories years later, so I will try to keep an open mind.
I honestly think anyone would enjoy this novel but particularly if you are interested in the process of writing and producing music or you just love some good old fashioned drama, this is for you.
