Okay here we are after adjusting my reviews of the first two books so I could finally review this one. Book 3 was actually my favorite of all of them. I didn't struggle nearly as much while reading this one like I did the first two even though this one took me the longest to read, I was ahead for once in the buddy read (I'm proud of that Lara, let me have it lol, I didn't have to have you pushing me to read).

Now that being said...there were some bits I'd almost consider sloggish. Bryce was in those tunnels for way too freaking long but I didn't overly mind because there were characters I love there with her. So if they weren't there it might have been another story.
Now while we're on that topic lets just get it out of the way...the ACOTAR crossover. Was it really necessary? I don't really think so. I feel like Bryce could have gotten that information she discovered in the caves some other way. The only important bits were Truth Teller and the Mask which I don't know how she could have gotten without going there but I feel like for how long the crossover was the length of it was unnecessary. Not to mention we end up seeing at least Nesta three different times throughout the whole book. I figured it'd either be a one and done or Bryce was going to bring a couple of them back with her to help in their battle with the Asteri. But really Bryce was just super annoying to them, ditching them in the caves every 5 seconds and then feeling kind of bad but doing it once again a few pages later. And I really hated that because if the roles were reversed her and her crew would have done the same things to them but tbh I think they would have been worse. The ACOTAR gang were pretty nice to her and hell,  Nesta was super nice to Bryce...NESTA...BEING NICE TO SOMEONE. And then Bryce had the nerve to ask her for a favor later!!!! I did like the final crossover scene which makes me feel like Nesta's story isn't done. Are we getting another book of her? Or will she be tied into whoevers story we get next?
Between Bryce being in those caves and the guys being tortured in a dungeon why did it take so long for them to get out?! The beginning was really the only section I felt about that and then for a little bit after when Bryce was with the Autumn King. But once the rescue happened and we were on the Depth Charger I was in it.

Now I still don't really care about Bryce and Hunt (very unpopular opinion but I don't like him at all) but I didn't mind them this book. But ride or die was Ruhn and Lidia!! I WAS OBSESSED! I wanted more from them but I was satisfied with what I got. I also got pretty invested with Ithan which was a little surprising.
He was left a bit open ended. Like he became the Prime but we didn't really get to see him with the wolves and how they are going to accept him and the whole thing with Sigrid was unresolved. So I'm figuring he has more story to tell.
Tharion I feel like he didn't get much closure so he has to have more story.
My man got his death sentences lifted but his final scenes were literally cut short. He went to find his wife (which I was like will he maybe have a romance with her) and we didn't see that but not only that he ran into Ariadne who I kind of forgot about cause we hadn't seen her since the beginning (who one time also felt like a possible romance). So that means there's more story right??

Also the big battle at the end felt a little lackluster to me. The end of book 2 was building up to it and then the main thing was less than 100 pages. Like the whole thing was going on throughout the book but I wanted more of a final battle. Also more Hel cause those guys are fun.
