After reading the lunar chronicles by the same author I expected a lot from this book and unfortunately it didn’t deliver. Personally, I did not feel attached to the characters nor the plot. Nevertheless some twists were unexpected and surpised me, but the end what quite predictable based on the title and the tale that’s retelling. On the other hand, I enjoyed the writing style. Marissa Meyer is in fact the perfect author if you’re looking for cozy fairytale vibes. I would indeed describe this book as cozy since, even condindering the many adventures, threats and secrets that this book holds, the main focus is always on the protagonist’s desire to open a bakery
