A haunting story that delve into the meaning of humanity through the lens of our capacity for cruelty without trying to enforce on any absolute truths. If any, it emphasised on the concept by depicting the extent each narrator understood humanity through the corporeal and more intangible attachments; made clear through the relationship between the body & soul.
'Human Acts' is a compact & powerful read, moving in the way it carries the readers through the confusion, anger, grief, contemplation, helplessness, experienced by the victims & people touched by the massacre. I was stunned to silence under the weight of it all at the end.
