Book #55 of 2024: The illustrations in this book are cute and that is important for a children’s book. Any book about animals is a good thing.

While young children may not necessarily know the traditional 12 Days of Christmas song, several lines don’t have the correct syllables to make it work quite like the song. Personally, that would bother me. I would like it more if it was seamless to convert to the song. Therefore I feel this book is far more suited for reading without singing it to that tune. I give it 4 stars with that caveat. It’s a cute read with lovely artwork.
