Dreamers by Yuyi Morales

5.0

A lovely picture book memoir that illustrates Morales immigrating from Xalapa, Mexico to the US with her infant son, Kelly. She crosses a bridge and finds a strange land that she does not know the rules & culture. They both learn to adapt and find their love of books at a fantastic place called a library!

This book is gorgeously illustrated by the author herself. The last pages of the book is really touching as she writes tells her story & mentions a list of books that inspired her.

A fantastic book that you should read to your children or have them read to you. My daughter absolutely loved this book and pointed to the story and book and had many questions about it. Immigrants who come to this country bring with them hope, dreams and love.
