A Kids Book About Therapy by Sara Brenner
informative
relaxing
medium-paced
5.0
This book is perfect for kids who are nervous about starting therapy or who have friends in therapy. Brenner does an amazing job explaining all aspects of therapy: why you might go, what the space might be like, what you might do or talk about, etc. She also addresses the stigma that still surrounds going to therapy.
A Kids Book About consistently puts out the best books on the market about tough and abstract topics, and this one is no exception. They handle the topics with no sugarcoating and no condescension, while still exploring the content in a safe and approachable manner. The use of basic typography and colors to convey mood and meaning work better than pictures ever could.
