ehhhhh, sort of iffy due to the relationships/attitudes. Felt kind of .... like women were considered sub-human? I didn't like the decisions of the mom to abandon her sons. I didn't like the oldest son AT ALL. The MCs in this were all right, I mean the guy was at least less of a neanderthal. The girl was kind of MEH but not the worst. But mostly, I didn't love it which made me sad because I really have liked a lot of Suzanne Enoch's other books.
