❝I have found your blindness, as you found mine, and it is the same, it is the power of blood.❞

This book is brutal. It tore into the pink lining of my throat and devoured my heart, and when I finished it I felt like the entire world had changed into something new. To everyone else, it is only a night in July.

Baru Cormorant made me cry, become angry, made me confused, and intrigued. This book is brilliant, with intricate worldbuilding and intimacy that reads off of every page you set your eyes on. This is a hard book to read. This is, not only because of the detail and the way you have to keep up, but because of the raw emotion, you'll feel at fucking six in the fucking morning over people you don't even know.

I can't even work through everything I'm feeling right now, but I felt like the tide came in with the ocean at the end of the book. Undoubtedly a favorite.

Anyway, time for me to go cry in my bed over this lmao.

❝ "Tell me tomorrow," Tain Hu said. "After the battle. Only then."❞

( p.s: do you hear me wailing??? )
