i honestly found this book to be extremely slow, but i think the build-up was worth it in the end. i loved how all the different character storylines appear scattered in the beginning, but end up tangling together / finally resolving into one thread at the end. mandel's writing is beautiful as always — poetic, detailed, and reflective. while i liked Sea of Tranquility better, this was still an enjoyable read
