This is My Brain on Boys is a story featuring a girl named Addie and a boy named Kris. Addie is conducting a scientific experiment relating to love and how it comes to be due to adrenaline and hormones.

I am a sucker for love stories, and I really enjoyed this one.

While I was reading this book, I was expecting a plot twist.

Specifically, I thought Dex was the one who manipulated the adrenaline-inducing situations around Addie and Kris. I did not, but should’ve, realized that Addie was the manipulator all along.

I came into this book expecting the classic girl-doesn’t-believe-in-love eventually falls in love with boy-who-does-believe-in-love, but got a twist;

she wanted to get with him (and possibly does believe in love)!

This twist has to be why I gave this book 5 stars, it was (kind of) unexpected and was an original idea (to me).
