When I read the synopsis of this book is was giving Taylor Swift and then I read the dedication and I was like well there we go.
This book follows a singer named Riley who after he recent divorce ended up writing an album inspired by her different breakups. Her ex husband is trying to claim that the most popular song off the album is about him but really it’s about her ex from her college years. She ends up getting in touch with him to see if he’d be okay with her saying the song is about him and from there they somehow end up going on tour together and performing this song.
You could tell they both still had feelings for each other. It was a relationship that ended kind of unresolved. I loved seeing them interact again and just wanted them to get back together. There was also a little side romance with her mother and the tour bus driver 😂 I was rooting for them.
