Torture to Her Soul by J.M. Darhower
5.0
I’ll just leave a short review here - my full review will be found on the last book of the trilogy, “Target On Our Backs.”
I was pleasantly surprised to see that this book is told from Naz’s POV. We didn’t see anything from Karissa’s POV, and that made things really interesting in a few scenes! This book and the previous book are examples of when unreliable narrators need to be considered. I could find myself getting frustrated with Karissa at times, and I had to ask myself - would I be frustrated with her if I actually had her POV? I would guess that I wouldn’t. I really enjoyed this book and it was a perfect setup for the last book. The plot pacing continued to be slow and allowed breathing room for subtle references for things to come. I absolutely love this book and how JM Darhower wrote this!
