"There was a before you and there was a during you. For some reason, I never thought there would be an after you."
Some would say that Kenna was just a "girl from the wrong side of the tracks". I say Kenna was a child who was just felt a raw deal from birth. When she finally breaks away from her sad youth, she feels she has a chance to make her life better and become someone people like and respect... that is until one quick decision turns into a horrible accident Kenna cannot escape from.
Set five years later, Kenna is hoping to right her wrong and be reunited with those who hate her. How can she get them to see that she is not that child anymore? And where does love fit into all of this. As my very first Colleen Hoover title, I was thrusted on an emotional roller coaster. I am not sure I was prepared for it. Shockingly, this book had an ending I didn't see coming, but was cheering for - for Kenna at least.
Definitely a must read!
"Now that I've forgiven myself, the reminders of him only make me smile."
