I think I expected more from this one - it ends nowhere, and it solves nothing. Breaking the volume where it ends makes little sense - or maybe it does, I'm not sure. That being said, the volume is full of tropey fantasy and very very few interesting points. The author might insist on the politics of the place, but I wasn't convinced, and that's what happens. In the end, the relationship between Ciri and Geralt makes little sense in the book, although we're being told it is important. Also, at times I was very confused by the chronology of facts depicted in this book,
