I’m very meh about this one. I normally really like Lauren Asher’s works, but this was kinda flat for me. There didn’t really seem to be any real tension other than that they were childhood rivals. Dahlia struggles with her mental health, a medical diagnosis, and a really crappy breakup. Julian is just boring honestly- there’s mentions of his past struggles with grief but that’s about it. The romance advanced very suddenly and it just didn’t really work for me. I’ll keep reading the series, but not my fave of her works.
