this sounded cute but the writing was SO juvenile, i didn’t even make it halfway thru the first chapter. normally i can excuse this sort of thing but not when EVERY action has an (almost always unnecessary) adverb and every other sentence uses a simile. this is a book for adults i promise that readers CAN make inferences and assumptions without being coddled the whole way <3
