HOLY FUCK.
Honestly, I have ZERO complaints about this book. I've put off this book for a long time, because after it was gifted to me, I realized some of it was in second person. The quickest way for me to be turned off of a book is for it to be in second person. Clearly, I have never read second person done correctly. Jemisin is an artist.
I saw some of the twists coming, didn't see others. Jemisin managed to make me emotionally invested in all the character, even if it was because I hated them so much.
I cannot recommend this book enough. That being said, if you are a parent, this might be a pretty hard book to read. Just know that going in.
