Early on in the book, Viv, our wonderful main character, describes her first time drinking coffee as follows: "...I came across it in Azimuth, and I remember following the smell to the shop. They called it a café. People just sat around drinking it from these little ceramic cups, and I had to try it, and... it was like drinking the feeling of peaceful. Being peaceful in your mind." This description quite exactly describes my feelings while reading this book.

It was just an utterly divine pleasure. All of the characters were instantly lovable, the plot never once was boring, and the payoff in the end was exceptionally wonderful. Though I will say while this book is described as a 'high fantasy with low stakes,' when the stakes were raised even in the slightest, I became incredibly stressed. But really, I would only consider that as a testament to how well-written this story is.

Genuinely one of my favorite reads this year, and I devoured it in a day. Highly recommend.
