Carter & Lovecraft by Jonathan L. Howard
3.0
I really would like to give this book 4 stars, but I found the writing a bit passive-aggressive and condescending towards HP Lovecraft, which I don't mind. Except that this book is also cashing in on the Lovecraft fan base.. so it's having the cake and eating it too...
Additionally on the the social commentary, it could have been incorporated way better. It didn't fit with the rest of the character dynamic and structure and felt forced. Like Howard already had the lines written and was jamming them in where they only semi/demi fit
But the overall was good and I liked the mysteryish-Ness and the way Lovecraft original material was included.
